Find one of three MGY signboards, at three locations across Cardiff, that feature a Santa graphic.
Take a photograph of the Santa in situ on the signboard (without revealing its location); and upload the pic to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram and ‘tag’ MGY – sharing that you’ve located an #MGYSecretSanta.

MGY SPOT THE SECRET SANTA COMPETITION Terms & Conditions
Platforms: The competition will run on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with an article and mechanics on website.
Dates: Competition starts 00:00 am on 12th December 2018. Competition Closes 00:01 am on 21st December 2018.
Winner: 4 x winners will be randomly chosen, announced and notified by 31st December 2018.
This prize draw is promoted by Michael Graham Young (the“Promoter”). Registered in England and Wales under company number 04353056 and with its registered office at 6 Station Road, Radyr, Cardiff, CF15 8AA.
The Promoter is offering entrants into this promotional competition the opportunity to be entered into a draw to win the following “prizes”:
- 2 tickets to watch Premier league football match between Cardiff City and Watford on 23rd February 2019 in Cardiff City Stadium;
- A £50 voucher to redeem at the Marco Pierre White gourmet restaurant;
- A luxury hamper courtesy Pugh’s Garden Village; or
- A bottle of Moet.
No cash alternative will be offered and the prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
Entrants must be aged 18 years or over and must be UK residents.
No purchase is necessary to enter this promotional competition, however, in order to enter, entrants must:
- Find one of three MGY signboards,at three locations across Cardiff, that have been modified to feature a Santagraphic;
- Take a photograph of the Santa insitu on the signboard (without revealing its location); and
- Upload the pic to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram saying they’ve located an #MGYSecretSanta and making sure to ‘tag’ MGY.
While the prizes offered are courtesy Cardiff City Football Club, Marco Pierre White Gourmet Restaurant and Pugh’s Garden Village, this in no way implies that the above listed patronize, endorse or are linked in any way to the Promoter.
While the competition is run through social media providers Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, this in no way implies that they patronize, endorse or are linked in any way to the Promoter.
While competition entry is dependent on ‘tagging’ MGY; it is not dependent on ‘sharing’ or ‘liking’ the competition posts on social media, although shares and likes are encouraged.
The Promoter, their employees, their families, agents or anyone else connected with this prize draw is prohibited from entry into the prize draw. However, they may participate in the sharing of social media posts pertaining to the competition.
In order to be deemed admissible, tagged posts must be made during the following period: The promotional competition opens at 00.00 am on 12th December 2018 and closes at 00:01 pm on 21stDecember 2018 (the “promotional period”).
If the Promoter, in its sole discretion, considers that there has been an unreasonable attempt to manipulate or tamper with the operation of the promotional competition, the Promoter may disqualify such entries.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for computer, network or software failures of any kind and has no responsibility for missing or misdirected entries.
The Promoter reserves the right to temporarily or permanently,modify or discontinue this promotional competition without notice, should unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside its reasonable control arise.
The social media ‘handles’ of participants who sent valid posts to MGY social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) during the promotional competition period will be entered into a database.
The four winners will be randomly selected from a database in order from first to last, with the highest value prize being won by the first drawn and so on until all four prizes are won. The Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
This draw will take place within 7 days of the end of the promotional competition period.
The winners will be contacted via social media to inform them of their success, they will be required to direct message by return or contact one of our three offices by telephone. A date will be arranged for the winners to collect their prize(s); to do so they will be required to attend one of the three MGY offices in Radyr, The Heath or Cardiff Bay.
If any single winner does not respond to the notice that they have won within 7 days of the competition closing, or declines the prize, the remaining valid entries will be redrawn at random and a new winner announced. This 7-day period may be extended at the Promoter’s sole discretion. In either event, winners that fail to respond within the required period or who decline the prize, will forfeit any right to the prize or any future prizes.
The prize of the football match tickets are for two people to access the Premier League football match between Cardiff City and Watford on 23rd February 2019 in Cardiff City Stadium. In the event that an MGY season ticket is provided, the two winners are expected to attend the one game specified and return the season ticket to an MGY Director on the day or within 5 days of attendance (either by hand to a Director at one of the MGY Cardiff offices or by recorded delivery). In the event that the match is cancelled, the Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
By entering the promotion, participants approve of the Promoter naming them on social media (and on the Promoter’s website), sharing, using or forwarding submitted photographs and announcing the names of the winners and that they have won.
The winners are reasonably expected to agree to appear in photographs publicizing their win, showing the handover of the prizes and potentially providing a statement or quote on their win. The winners will be required to give the Promoter full photographic use and copyright of such photographs/quotes which will be circulated on social media, the Promoter’s website, annual report and other media as the Promoter deems fit.
The winners will be announced on the promotor’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts and website a minimum of 7 days after the end of the promotional competition period.
By participating in this promotional competition, entrants agree that the Promoter may store and use the pics and data supplied (including names) to publicly announce the winner via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and on the Promoter’s website – as well as in other publicity materials that the Promoter might deem fit.
The Promoter will not use entrants’ personal data for any purposes except to facilitate the promotional competition.
The decisions of the Promoter are final and binding in all matters relating to the promotional competition. Entrants agree to be bound by the competition terms and conditions. The Promoter will not enter into any correspondence pertaining to its decisions.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, including the seeking of all injunctive or ancillary relief actions.
